This white Silkie Hen was my daughter's favorite hen ever. She carried "Abigail" around perched on her shoulder everywhere on the farm. Silkies are great smaller chickens that do well in captivity. They may not lay the highest number of eggs, but they served us well by keeping our plums bug-free. It is interesting to note that these fuzzy poultry were marketed as a cross between chickens and fuzzy bunnies! This original photography from our farm comes to you on five notecards with their envelopes.
